At the end of August we are in a little torn. On one hand we still want to catch the last days of summer while its getting colder, and on the other hand we can’t wait for new fashion shows but we still have to wait a little bit for the September-excitement.
So let’s see what fashion lovers and designers do in Poland during the end of summer! I might say that beginning of autumn all about workshops!
Today is a first day of short but first in Poland shoe designing and making workshop with Polish handmade shoe designer - Przemysław Piniak . Przemysław Piniak has graduated Interior Design in Gdansk Fine Academy and Industrail Design at Warsaw Fine Academy.
His aim is to spread the value and great tradition of craftmanship. As soon as the workshop crew make their first shoe, we will let you know who is worth to be following! :)
The event is organized by the Institute of Design Kielce.

If you would like to have an insight on Polish fashion you should check what is happening in Stary Browar at the 8th edition of Art & Fashion Forum in Poznań which was initiated by Grażyna Kulczyk (owner of Stary Browar, polish culture lover and art investor).
Since 2007 AFF developed to famous platform of fashion dialogue.
Each year the workshops have different mottos, this year it is 'CHICK GEEK'.
The annual fashion workshops specialized for fashion design, design & fashion writing, illustration and jewelry design end with the possibility to get a prize, which is a summer scholarship in Central Saint Martins, London.
I was taking part in AFF 2009 and 2011 and I can tell you that this is a unique experience! In 10 days you do as much as you can by crossing your creative borders. Besides you can meet amazing, creative people with whom you have endless conversations about esthetic in our lives.
