Sandor Lakatos is a designer who creates unique men collections (and a first women collection for SS14 after many requests), twice a year.
“It is part of my creative work to be unaware of other designers’ current work, because I want my ideas to come through unbiased and original.” - Sandor says about his designs, which creates timeless and independent from any trends kind of collections.
Outstanding for us is the current A/W collection, which we immediately loved for the amazing reinterpretation of a suit. The unusual use of materials and patterns with the classic basic in each man’s wardrobe, the suit, makes us fall for this collection.
Actually we not only want to see these pieces in our boyfriend’s wardrobe but some of them would even be warmly welcomed in our own!
Not only the designs that we can admire in each of his look books inspire us but also how he creates fashion and his philosophy of life is more than worth to mention.
He believes that personal charisma and the power to create something from scratch are divine aspects of human life, so these should be the core of everyone's actions.
Another interesting fact: He never draws any of his sketches on paper but creates them right on the material. This process serves him as an inspirational source besides charismatic people and faces.
With the description Vogue Italia labeled him once he wasn’t satisfied (‘elegant,’ ‘extravagant,’ ‘minimal’ and ‘dark’). For us it is rather timeless, loosened up and charismatic (equals fashion for people), but have a look yourself:
