How does the summer look in fashion world? When the sun comes up and the days are longer, the atmosphere brings inspiration for new ideas.
From the past few years on, the top of the regular fashion events such as man’s fashion weeks, resorts presentations and graduations happen in the months of summer. And of course one can also experience the boom of festival fashion! How the Polish summer of Fashion looks like? That's what I will keep you up to date from now on!
Let’s start from the begining:
At 6th of June, I was part of the first Fashion Graduation Show of the Academy of Fine Arts. The evening show gathered a crowd of Warsawers, interested not only in fashion but in design and culture in general.
In fact it’s safe to say that entire Warsaw was present at this event. The Fashion Design Faculty crew was very excited about the fashion show, but the reviews received exceeded our expectation. First and foremost people were astonished by the level of professionalism of the show itself as well as of the collections
There were six final collections which were designed by Katarzyna Skorzynska, Julia Kaleta (me) , Juvgenija Jurkevica, Ewa Stepnowska , Zosia Ufnalewska and Joanna Wawrzynczak.
The visitors agreed that the event proved that the graduates of Katedra Mody – fashion design faculty in Warsaw bring new perspective and new way of understanding fashion in Poland.
